Official Rules and Regulations

  1. No purchase necessary.

  2. Contest runs from December 6-11, 2009. Ballot can be found in the Morning Roar paper at the Roar of the Rings event in Edmonton, Alberta.  The ballot can be dropped off at the Keith’s Patch between Saturday December 6, 2009 and Friday December 11, 2009.

  3. One (1) winner will be drawn at random the weekend of December 12- 13, 2009.

  4. Prize consists of one (1) trip for two people to Halifax, Nova Scotia for the opening weekend of The 2010 Tim Horton’s Brier on March 5-8, 2010. Prize includes two (2) return flights, 3 nights hotel accommodation, 2 tickets to the opening ceremony and 2 tickets to the curling draws on the opening Saturday and Sunday. Includes one (1) hotel room. (Prize package has approximate value of $1800). Meals are not included. Fly into Halifax on March 5, 2010. 2 tickets to the opening ceremonies and 5 curling draws on March 6-7, 2010. Fly out of Halifax on March 8, 2010.

  5. The prize is only valid for a trip to Halifax, Nova Scotia from March 5-8, 2010.

  6. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No prize substitutions permitted.

  7. All entries become property of Monsanto and will not be returned.  Original ballot from paper only - no photocopied ballots.

  8. By entering this promotion, the winner agrees to the use by Monsanto Canada of his/her name, city and province and/or photographs or any likeness for advertising and publicity purposes for this or similar promotions and to the use of statements and herby grants to Monsanto Canada any and all rights to said use without further compensation.

  9. By entering this contest, entrant agrees to be bound by these official rules and by the decisions of the organization, which shall be final and binding on all matters related to the contest.

  10. Selected entrants will be contacted by phone and required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question, before being declared a winner. Winners must also sign a release of liability within (10) business days of being declared a winner. If a potential winner cannot be contacted and the skill-testing question administered or if the winner fails to return the signed declaration and release of liability within ten (10) business days, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate entrant may be selected.

  11. The chance of an eligible entry being selected is dependent on the total number of eligible entries received.

  12. Monsanto Canada reserves the right to change the rules and regulations of the promotion without prior notice.

  13. Monsanto reserves the right to change or withdraw this offer any time and for any reason.

  14. Monsanto Canada will not be responsible for lost, late or damaged entries for internet, computer, phone or other technical errors.

  15. This contest is subject to all federal and provincial laws and regulations.

  16. Winner accepts any tax implications of winnings.

  17. Contest is open to persons who have reached the age of majority, except employees, representatives or agents of Monsanto, their affiliates and subsidiaries, seed company licensees, advertising and promotion agents, the judges and persons with whom they are domiciled or any reseller of crop chemicals or canola seed to farms and persons with whom they are domiciled.

  18. Monsanto, including its agents, representatives and those associated with them, are not responsible for any entry, prize winning notification or the claim for prize, which is lost, misdirected or which arrives late, as the case may be, whether or not due to the fault of Monsanto or of any other person or thing.
